Mr. White, meet Ms. Medina?

I’m going to interview Mayor Bill White this Sunday during the Noon hour on my talk show on KLIF.  After watching the KERA Debate last week I decided to invite Debra Medina on the show as well.  I’m not going to set the interview(s) up in debate style - I want to give each their entire time to answer my questions - but I am becoming more and more interested in what a general election might look like between the two of them.

I was left with a sour taste in my mouth following the televised Republican debate.  Frankly our senior Senator and Governor behaved like a couple of spoiled children, in my opinion.  I was impressed with Ms. Medina’s grasp of the issues, especially specifically one’s raised by the audience.

Be by the dial Sunday at Noon on 570 AM in Dallas/Ft. Worth, or at KLIF.com.

DavidYates.net now in HD!

We’ve made some technical upgrades to the site and now you will be able to watch David’s TXA21 Home Improvement Zone segments in HD!  All video created for the site going forward will be shot primarily in 1080p then down-converted to 720p for the website.

Another change to the site (and we think, an improvement) is the addition of an iPhone/iPod Touch version of the videos on the website.  The flash version is universal and allows us to reach the greatest number of desktops, but the new mobile version has been requested by many… and we’re happy to deliver.

A New Year & A New Look!

What better excuse than a new year to come up with a new look for the website?  I hope you like it, and I hope you find what you’re looking for here.

For the first time, ever, I have started pulling together audio, video, and print pieces from all of the many and varied projects that I have been honored to have been a part.  I realized that I have never seen everything in one place at one time.

It has proven to be a tall order simply finding everything - I started my radio career in 1982 and I started my career selling and building homes in 1991.  I’m sure I’ve lost far more than I’ll find as far as memorabilia goes, but what I have found so far has made me smile.  It has been enjoyable looking back at some great opportunities to make new friends and to learn a lot about my professions and myself.
